海韵 作品 Omnipotence. 2017. Oil on Canvas. 100x80cm

I am trying to balance desire with spiritual needs. I used John Singer Sargent’s alla prima method of working directly on the canvas with a loaded brush which permits spontaneous flourishes of color. These variations in tone, and highlights allowed Buddha, to stand out and show his dissatisfaction of human’s excessive technology development. It also shows the omnipotence of spiritual strength, and the utmost important spiritual peace, which go beyond technology and unappeasable desire.
